Filed a radar with Apple: adding icons to the swipeview in Mail would make the interface a lot clearer and more glanceable.
I also changed the orange colour of the Flag button to blue, because I associate orange with a 'warning' action and blue with an important action. Swiping right would reveal a green Archive button.
