This is a concept for Amazon.com, be sure to check out the attachments for a full view!
My approach was to reorganize the information and to give the site a much better sense of hierarchy. Amazon's current site has a problem with presenting the user with too much information at a time, creating a cluttered and overwhelming layout. In the attachments you can see how I've simplified sections such as thumbnail recommendations, or the product list view to provide the user with only essential details like pricing and rating. Once the user has selected the specific product, they can get all of the secondary information in the individual product view.
An additional intention would be to have a fixed header navigation, allowing a user to easily search for additional products, or access their account without having to scroll all the way to the top of the page.
